Armchair Astronauts Media was founded by John Varela and Marisa Weinstein, seasoned unscripted executives with a track record of creating bold, premium formats for networks and streamers.
Together, John and Marisa spent nearly a decade at Paramount, creating, developing and piloting original series across Paramount+, MTV and VH1. Their experience spans large-scale competition, dating and social experiments, docu-series, studio programming, crime and procedural formats.
